Create Your Kind of MBA
The MBA program at Alcorn State University has evolved over the years, with the agility and flexibility needed to cater to the nuanced interests of different learners and learner groups. The program is designed keeping in mind the needs of working professionals who are interested in working in specialty industry areas and aspire to move to leadership role. The leaners will pursue advanced study via business focused core MBA courses which will broaden their knowledge in accounting, finance, marketing, and management and a chosen specialty area that you carve out, in consultation with your advisor.
NOTE: The speciality areas will not appear as endorsements on transcripts or diplomas.
The speciality areas are custom-made clusters of MBA electives that the students will co-create with their advisor, from among the approved elective courses. Say, a student could take 9 hours of Hospitality-Tourism-Gaming / Marketing / Human Resources / Finance focused electives, than choosing the elective courses freely. If you are interested in identifying courses in a speciality area that might work for you, please consult with your advisor.
