G & G Farm is tucked away in the unincorporated hamlet of McCarley, MS, located in Carroll County. I am sure most of you never
heard of or been to this bucolic community. However, for your information, this county has two county seats Carrollton and Vaiden.
This area has produced individuals, who have made major contributions to enhance life in rural America. The Winston County
Self Help Cooperative is extending an invitation for you to participate in G & G Farms Spring Field Day on Thursday, April 29,
2021. Words cannot fittingly describe what you will learn and experience from this field day. G & G Farms is operated by Mr. James
G. George and family. Mr. James is a retired agriculture teacher from J. Z. George High School in North Carrollton, MS. Today, Mr.
George has dedicated his life to developing and growing G & G Farms. These farms have numerous enterprises which you can
decipher from the pictures on this flyer.
Mr. George has received a bevy of conservation practices through the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. Mr.
George learned at Alcorn State University the "Grass is Greener, the Air is Cleaner, and the Water is Sweeter" only if, you take care
of God’s natural resources. Mr. George is working daily to leave a fruitful legacy for the next generation of Georges. This field day
will be conducted under "Covid Rules" with your safety as the number one priority. YOU MUST WEAR YOUR MASK AND BRING
YOUR PERSONAL CHAIR. Additionally, you must register in advance to attend this event by calling Frank Taylor at 601-291-2704
or email [email protected]. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 23, 2021.
If you need accommodation to participate in this activity or event, please contact Latrice Todman at 662-446-2423, or by
