First Year Experience Program holds Responsibilities and Values Workshop

The Office of First Year Experience hosted a Responsibilities and Values Workshop on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Math and Science Auditorium.

Mr. Roderick Martin, academic advisor in the Newtie J. Boyd Academic Student Support Center, was the presenter for the workshop.

“The workshop was designed to explain to students the importance of taking personal responsibility”, stated Dr. White, director of the First Year Experience Program.

In an interview held after the workshop, Jimera Smith, a freshman from Port Gibson, Mississippi, shared, “The workshop helped me to explore the meaning of responsibility and how it affects my life.”
