Alcorn gives back to the community, hosts 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt
Over 120 pre-k and kindergarten students from Fayette schools and Alcorn’s Child Development Center filled the ballroom of the James L. Bolden Campus Union on Wednesday, March 27, as Alcorn State University hosted it 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt. Excited kids got busy looking for Easter eggs, smiling, screaming happily and showing each other and their teachers the treats. Children also enjoyed lunch provided by Theta Sigma Lambda and Delta Kappa Chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
“We are elated to be able to give back and make our little community members happy,” shared Devina Hogan, director of Student Activities, Division of Student Affairs, at Alcorn. “Our division also sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt at A.W. Watson Elementary School in Port Gibson where we involved over 200 kids in this fun holiday activity. Next year, we will visit Jefferson County Elementary with our Easter Egg Hunt.”
