Three corporations pledge to hire Alcorn students
Three corporations, Fugro Chance, Fugro Geoservices and Fugro Aerial & Mobile Mapping, will be recruiting students and graduates of Alcorn State University’s Department of Advanced Technologies for future employment, September 5-6, 2013, in the K. L. Simmons Sr. Technology Building, 2nd floor conference room.
Kevin Spain, senior corporate recruiter, United States Navy (Ret.), for all three companies, will conduct interviews with juniors, seniors and alumni on the following dates and times:
• September 5, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (30 minutes limit)
• September 6, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (20 minutes limit)
A sign-in form will be provided at the door for students who wish to be interviewed. Students from other programs are also invited to attend.
“The primary recruitment interest is focused on the Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) Program and the various job recruitment opportunities available to the students,” said Dr. Sam Nwaneri, GIS Program leader. “This collaboration has created interest in robotics and automation technology along with computer engineering and networking programs.”
He added, “These three corporations are planning to hold corporate presentations to the students enrolled in the above mentioned program areas, and would like to establish a recruitment pipeline for Alcorn students.”
