Deltas give $15K to student scholarships at Alcorn
An avid supporter of the University, the Alcorn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc presented a check for $15,000 to Alcorn President M. Christopher Brown II on December 17, 2013, during the chapter’s monthly meeting.
“The Chapter members are elated to present this gift to Alcorn on behalf of all the Mississippi sorority members who contributed by purchasing Delta car tags,” stated Chapter President Gwen Lucas and program coordinator in the Department of Human Sciences at Alcorn. “We are thankful to Alcorn for helping us become the successful individuals we are today, and we are happy to give back to our alma mater and support Alcorn students on their road to success.”
This gift will support Alcorn as well as provide scholarships to deserving students enrolled at the University.
