Brittany Noble-Jones becomes morning and noon co-anchor at WJTV News Channel 12

Alcorn State University alumna Brittany Noble-Jones is bringing her talents back to Mississippi.

Noble-Jones will begin a new chapter in her career at WJTV News Channel 12 in Jackson, Mississippi Monday, August 10. She will be co-anchoring the morning and noon shows Monday through Friday.

Prior to accepting her new role at WJTV News Channel 12, Noble-Jones was the general assignment reporter at KMOV-TV in St. Louis, Missouri. She made a name for herself after being one of the first reporters on the scene of the controversial shooting of Ferguson, Missouri teen Michael Brown. The National Association of Black Journalists named her Emerging Journalist of the Year in May.

Noble-Jones is looking forward to returning to the state that shaped her passion for the media.

“I’m excited to return to Mississippi,” said Noble-Jones. “This is where I developed my love and passion for journalism. Mississippi was the first market that I watched and tried to emulate as a student at Alcorn.”
