Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a student attorney with the Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Policy Research 2021 Virtual Meetings.

These meetings were designed to discuss issues and challenges faced by SDFR as we prepare for the 2023 Farm Bill. The Policy Center specializes in policy research impacting SDFRs. Through collaboration with universities and organizations inside and outside the land grant community, the Policy Center leverages employees’ expertise and increases personnel capacity with contractual partnerships with other universities and agencies. The mission of the Policy Research Center is to conduct research, analyze policy and make recommendations seeking to achieve equitable and economic integration of USDA programs and policies for socially disadvantaged farmers, ranchers, communities, and rural landowners. During the meeting, we plan to confirm findings from research studies funded by the Policy Center and to gather additional information on priorities identified by the SDFR Policy Center Advisory Board.
