DR. JESSE J. LUCAS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: - To provide an annual scholarship for a needy African-American student who has graduated from a high school in Jefferson Davis or Lincoln County and has majored in Technology Education or Mathematics Education with the intentions of obtaining teacher education certification. The student selected must have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher and a composite ACT score of 18 or higher. The student must earn a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA in their first semester and be in good standing with the University.
DR. JO C. PIERCE SCHOLARSHIP - Recipient must have been formally accepted to the ASU School of Nursing Program. Must have completed a minimum of one semester of clinical nursing in the BSN Program; must have a 3.0 GPA; must have demonstrated excellence in academics and clinical achievement in nursing; must have attained a minimum of one semester in clinical nursing toward the ADN Program or the BSN Program.

HANDY WILLIAMSON SCHOLARSHIP– Recipient must be majoring in Agricultural Sciences with at least a 3.0 GPA; must be a resident of Smith, Jasper, or Jones Counties.
HERBERT ANDERSON, JR. SCHOLARSHIP – Social science major who maintains at least a 2.75 GPA.
HONORS CAMPUS ALL-STAR CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP - The student must have been enrolled at the university for at least one academic year, must be in good standing with the university, and must have need of financial assistance. The student must have maintained a cumulative average of 3.5 and above. A non-scholarship student who is a member of the Campus All-Star Challenge team, whose cumulative average is less than 3.5, may be given special consideration for this scholarship. This student must have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the campus tournament and must have exhibited great potential as a member of the team. The student must be recommended by a faculty member. A committee of honors faculty will review the recommendations and select the recipient, with final approval being given by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
HOWARD H. ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP – Graduating high school senior or an undergraduate at Alcorn from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area; be accepted for admission to Alcorn State University as a high school senior; have a minimum of 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale; be a U.S. citizen; be available for a personal interview with the selection committee; submit completed application and documents by deadline.

JACK SPINKS SCHOLARSHIP FUND - The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (C average) on a four point system. Recipient must be an all-around student who exemplifies the spirit and the desire to achieve. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 15 or above. The University Scholarship Committee will be responsible for screening the recommended applicants and the selection of the recipient. All currently enrolled students and accepted freshmen are eligible. Good prior attendance is important.
JAMES AND ANGELINE GUY POSEY SCHOLARSHIP FUND - The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0.or is an entering freshmen with a composite ACT score of 18 or more. All currently enrolled students and accepted Freshmen are eligible (priority will be given to students from Jefferson Davis County, Covington County, Claiborne County, and other enrolled students and accepted Freshmen respectively).Preference is to be given to English and Agriculture majors expressing an interest in teaching. NINNIE PRATER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND - Recipient must be an entering freshmen with a composite ACT score of 21 or above. Recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above. Recipient will be selected on the basis of need as determined by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); Recipient must be an African American. Preference given to a resident of Wilkinson County interested in pursuing a degree in the Department of Education, Department of Industrial Arts, Department of Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or Department of Mathematical Sciences.
NISSAN SCHOLARSHIP - The scholarship shall be available to students majoring in a science-oriented curriculum which provides a strong background in the biological-environmental biology, chemical-environmental chemistry, physical sciences - soil and water sciences. Must be accepted to the academic program for Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and the Master of Biotechnology at the university and be certified by the Dean of the school regarding his or her potential to complete the rigors of the program; have achieved at least a 2.5 GPA at the high school level; maintain at least a 2.5 GPA while in the program.

PROFILE SCHOLARSHIP - Awarded by the University’s President to needy students who meet the Alcorn profile of being professionally competent, having a strong work ethic, having a value system and high moral character and being well-groomed.
RISSAH TEMPLE JOHN H. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP – Students who major in any academic area with at least a GPA of 3.25. Outside community activities are required such as church, Free and Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliation, NAACP, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Palace of Children. Recipients must also be members of a social organization (church) and residents of Mississippi. To maintain the award, recipients have to keep a 3.25 GPA.

Preferred students are of Claiborne, Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren counties in Mississippi; and Madison and Tensas parishes in Louisiana. Recipients are encouraged to consider establishing a professional career in the Vicksburg, MS area. Selections are made by department faculty.
VOGUE SOCIALITE CLUB, INC. SCHOLARSHIP - Major in Family and Consumer Sciences; need; GPA of 3.0 in major courses and 2.0 overall; loyalty and cooperation to the department and the university; dedication to the profession. Department faculty must recommend at least two names to the University Scholarship Committee for one to be selected.
WALTHALL COUNTY ASU ALUMNI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Student will be chosen by Walthall County ASU Alumni committee.
WALTER WASHINGTON SCHOLARSHIP - Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower needs; 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students in mathematics and the sciences. Priority will be given to students in the Honors Program.

WILLIS BRUMFIELD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - A Junior majoring in Accounting or Finance chosen by the Dean of the School of Business. The recipient must submit a brief bio and photo to the ASU Foundation as soon as they receive notification of receiving the award.
W. S. DEMBY SCHOLARSHIP (Selection made by the VICKSBURG/WARREN ALUMNI CHAPTER) - Warren County student with the highest cumulative grade point average.
YORK ALONZO AND IVY DARENSBURG LENIOR MATH AND ENGLISH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Recipient must be a 2nd year student who has maintained a 2.0 or a C average and is performing to his/her full potential.
LISA FOSTER BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP - Recipient must have and maintain a 3.5 GPA, 22 on ACT, major in Biology, Biology Education (acceptable concentrations include Environmental Biology/Ecology, Molecular Biology and Health Science). Recipients must also participate in outreach efforts (e.g. k-12), or diversity related organizations (e.g. women or URM science organizations) or research internships on campus or off site. Recipient must submit a one page essay describing their interest in a particular area of biological sciences and why this area is important to them and society as a whole along with projection of position in the field 10 years from now.
