Office of Diversity and Equity Engagement receives grant from Phil Hardin Foundation

The Office of Diversity and Equity Engagement has been awarded a $9,000 grant from the Phil Hardin Foundation to fund the first annual Unity Through Diversity Week in April at Alcorn State University. A special focus of the week will be the issue of male success at HBCUs, with the goal of developing a larger grant to help support a comprehensive initiative to enhance retention and graduation rates.

“We are truly excited about this opportunity,” said Dr. Derek Greenfield, director of the Office of Diversity and Equity Engagement, “To bring a wide range of dynamic activities to our campus community in the interest of promoting inclusion and equity.”
