Thesis Research Presentation by Brenita  Jenkins

 

The Department of Biological Sciences invites all graduating seniors in biology and chemistry, and graduate students in biology and other life sciences to attend a thesis research presentation by biology graduate student Brenita Jenkins.

 

Jenkins will present on the topic “Role of Lysine Conferred Positive Charges in the Second Motif of the Pentatricopeptide (PPR) on Ccm  3 P Activity” on March 23,  1:30 – 2:30 PM, in room 109 of the Math and Science Building.

 

Jenkins is an Alcorn State University-Pennsylvania State University Bridges to Doctorate Program Scholar.   She did her research under the direction of Dr. Jon Moreno, assistant professor of biology at Alcorn State University.

 

This presentation will be attended by Dr. Pamela Hanakey, professor and program director of ASU-PSU Bridges to Doctorate Program, and Dr. Kimberly Griffin, assistant professor in education and evaluator with the Program.

 

This is an excellent and unique opportunity  for graduate students to witness a research presentation. Opportunities will be available to interact with the visiting scientists with regard to the Program.
