Ruffin earns Box to Row All-American Honors

Alcorn State, MS–Senior guard, Kiara Ruffin received Box-to-Row All-American Second Team Honors.   Ruffin was a four year starter with the Lady Braves and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark during the 2010-2011 season. 

“Kiara extremely deserving of every honor that is bestowed upon her has made huge strides at Alcorn State University and this is just the icing on the cake.”  “We are extremely proud of Kiara and everything she has accomplished on and off the court for the Women’s Basketball Program,” stated Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Tonya Edwards.      

The Meridian, Mississippi native is a Child Development scholar and was named to the 2012 SWAC All-Conference and All-Tournament Teams.
