Alcornites Driver and Norwood among 2012 SWAC Hall of Fame inductees

The Southwestern Athletic Conference enshrined Alcornites Donald Driver ’99 and Willie Norwood ’69 in the SWAC Hall of Fame on December 6 at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel.

“We are elated that our outstanding athletes Driver and Norwood were inducted,” stated Athletic Director Dwayne White who travelled to Birmingham, Alabama, for the ceremony.

The class of 2012 includes: LyVonne LeFlore, Jackson State University, Harold Carmichael, Southern University, Hubert O. Clemmons and Lawrence A. Davis, both University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Eugene “Doc” Harvey, Grambling State University, and Herman Sanders Mississippi Valley State University.
