Faculty and staff attend Women in Higher Education Mississippi Network Leadership Conference

Dr. Helen Wyatt, institutional representative for Alcorn – regional director of America Reads-Mississippi Program and associate professor in Education and Psychology Department, and staff members Ruth Strauder, Cassandra Brown Lewis, Shundera Perteet, Pamela Neal, Mary King, and Sallie Griffin from the Division of Administration and Finance, attended the Women in Higher Education 2013 Leadership Conference. The conference was held at Mississippi State University, February 21-22, 2013.

“Attending this conference afforded us an opportunity to network with employees of Mississippi’s colleges and universities, and receive valuable information on career development and leadership skills for women in higher education,” stated Perteet.

The mission of WHEMN is to identify, develop, advance and support women in higher education in Mississippi. WHEMN assists in career development and enhances the visibility of women administrators on Mississippi’s campus.
