School of Business professor elected Natchez Downtown Development Association president
Dr. Pj Forrest, associate professor of marketing in the School of Business, was recently elected as president of the Natchez Downtown Development Association (NDDA). Dr. Forrest has been a member of the NDDA Board of Directors since 2010 and served as vice president in 2012. She also chaired the Downtown Halloween activities in 2011 and 2012, as well as the Downtown Rally held in 2012.
‘Natchez is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the South, and it is a great honor to be a part of NDDA, an organization dedicated to the growth and well-being of downtown Natchez,” stated Dr. Forrest. “We have implemented a number of projects, such as Second Saturdays, Art on the Bluff and other activities designed to encourage local residents and tourists to visit and enjoy downtown Natchez.”
Dr. Forrest joined Alcorn’s School of Business in 2009, where she teaches marketing and business ethics. She also designed and offers a special online course in sports marketing. Dr. Forrest chairs the committee for Alcorn’s annual Ethics Week.
