Chronicle’s Great Colleges to Work for Program

Alcorn State University is participating in the Chronicle’s Great Colleges to Work for Program, an inclusive study designed to recognize institutions that have built great workplaces.

One phase of the program involves distributing a survey to a sample of the university’s full-time faculty and staff. On March 20, 2013, this survey will be distributed to randomly selected employees. If selected, you will receive an invitation encouraging you to complete the survey. The invitation will be sent to you via e-mail notification.

If you receive the e-mail invitation, please take the time to complete the survey. You will be representing not only yourself, but your colleagues, so please take the time to share your feedback. The results of the survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will determine the institutions recognized. The Chronicle will publish the findings this July, and our institution will receive a report that summarizes responses to the survey questions.

This is a confidential survey that measures the strength of certain competencies and relationships within the organization that most directly impact the university’s culture. Your participation is critical to this process. Your survey will be processed by ModernThink LLC, a consulting firm that focuses on workplace excellence. Alcorn will not be given any information that would enable us to trace survey data back to any one individual.

We want to encourage everyone’s participation in this process. A high response rate helps to ensure accurate results and demonstrates a commitment to our workforce!

Thanks in advance for your participation. Should you have any questions regarding the survey process, please contact Dr. Ramesh Maddali, Director of Institutional Research and Assessment or visit www.ChronicleGreatColleges.com.
