School of Business graduate lands a job with Eli Lilly and Company

School of Business graduate lands a job with Eli Lilly and Company

The Alcorn family is proud of its class of 2013 graduate Raymundo Sanchez, who recently accepted a full-time job as a financial analyst for Eli Lilly and Company at their headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“Eli Lilly and Company is ranked 119 on the Fortune 500 list,” said an excited Sanchez. “I am so happy to have landed this job, and thankful to my instructors at Alcorn for preparing me well for the business world.”

Besides earning a high GPA during his tenure at Alcorn, the San Antonio, Texas native actively participated in the university life: he was a member of the baseball team, served as Delta Mu Delta vice president in 2012-2013, and attended the Thurgood Marshall 2012 Leadership Conference. In summer 2012, Sanchez did an internship with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which helped him land his current job.

The University wishes Sanchez the best in his future career and hopes he fulfills his ultimate goal “to become a CEO that makes a lasting impact on the world”.
