Alcorn State University to host Minority Vendor Expo

Alcorn State, Miss. (September 16, 2013) – Alcorn State University and WhereToGo411.com will host the Minority Vendor Expo: Connecting Suppliers and Buyers 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon, October 1 at the Center for Ecology and National Resources on the University’s Lorman campus.

Businesses at the expo will have the opportunity to promote their products and services with Alcorn’s decision-makers while learning more about the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning’s Minority Economic Opportunity Initiative and IHL’s partnership with WhereToGo411.com.

“Alcorn is elated to support this initiative,” stated Carolyn DuPre’, vice president for Fiscal Affairs. “We are cordially inviting all minority vendors to participate and learn about the process of doing business with the University.”

This event will help create a more diverse pool of vendors for Alcorn and assist in our community outreach, paving the way for additional dollars going to Mississippi businesses and local communities.
