Alcorn hosts annual Graduate and Professional School Expo

The Office of Career Placement, Division of Academic and Student Affairs, sponsored its annual Graduate and Professional School Expo September 18, 2013.

University recruiters from the southern and mid-western regions of the U. S. participated in this event providing Alcorn students with the opportunity to learn about various universities to review what each had to offer.

Graduate recruiters spent the morning and afternoon helping students explore the opportunities for furthering their academic interests. Several graduating seniors found the schools of their dreams at the fair.

DeAnte’ Spann, a junior majoring in elementary education, stated, “The Graduate and Professional Expo can really help you prepare for your future.”

Dr. Valerie Thompson, assistant vice president for professional development/readiness explained, “Students who take advantage of the Expo find the process of applying a lot easier than those who do not. Thus, it is certainly an advantage for all students, especially, those who will be graduating in the spring, to attend events like this.”
