Lorman, Miss. (December 6, 2013) – The Alcorn family sends warmest regards to Ms. Willye Odessa Meeks Ratcliffe who turned 100 years old earlier this year.

Ms. Ratcliffe was born in 1913 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She graduated from Alcorn State University in 1937 and worked as a clerical assistant. Ms. Ratcliffe resides in Chicago, Illinois. She has a son James Ratcliffe Jr. Her husband, James Ratcliffe Sr., passed away several years ago.

Chicago has been Ms. Ratcliffe’s home for over 50 years. She is a life member of Alcorn State University’s Alumni Chicago Chapter, where she was in charge of welfare for over 40 years. She is a member of Mournmental Baptist Church in Chicago. Ms. Ratcliffe loves reading, arts and crafts.
