Alcorn receives Retool Your School Award

Lorman, Miss. (December 6, 2013) – On Tuesday, December 3, Home Depot Mid-South Region Pro Account representatives, Alexandria Trevino and Joey Gilkey, and Vicksburg Store Manager Quan Steward presented a check for $10,000 to Alcorn representing the school’s award in their campus improvement grant contest—Retool Your School.

The program provides aid to help historically black colleges and universities upgrade their campuses and facilities. Alcorn will use the funds to develop its new arboretum where students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors will enjoy indigenous Mississippi plants and trees.
