Alcorn invites youth to its annual AgDiscovery summer program
“We are elated to announce that our annual AgDiscovery summer program is currently accepting applications,” stated Dr. Cassandra Vaughn ’84, Alcorn State University veterinarian. “Every year, we welcome program participants from all over the U.S. and look forward to hosting them this summer and teaching them about animals.”
The program is designed for youth ages 12 to 16 who are interested in animal science or veterinary medicine. Students must be at least the minimum eligible age and no older than the maximum eligible age as of May 31, 2014.
During this two-week program, students are exposed to many facets of animal science. They learn about animal anatomy, tour farms and get hands-on experience.
