Alcorn’s professor of English reads short story at MPA conference
Dr. Peter Malik, professor of English in the Alcorn State University Department of English and Foreign Languages, read his short story entitled “Life Savers” at the annual conference of the Mississippi Philological Association held on February 21-22, 2014, at Mississippi State University.
“It was an honor to represent Alcorn at this conference,” shared Malik. “It is designed for professors, graduate students, writers, poets, and those interested in language and literature. It has been held annually for 29 years.”
In 2013, Dr. Malik’s short story entitled “Let Us Sell Alaska–Now!” was published in MPA’s journal Publications of the Mississippi Philological Association (POMPA).
Dr. Malik has been a member of the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Alcorn since 1998. He teaches composition, technical writing, creative writing and linguistics courses at the university.
