Alcorn’s Dr. Martha Ravola named assistant vice president for Academic Program Support and Graduate Studies
Dr. Martha Ravola has been promoted to assistant vice president for Academic Program Support and Graduate Studies. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for Academic Affairs matters pertaining to academic programs such as curriculum development, program review and evaluation, faculty development and advancement, and catalog development. She will also provide oversight for Alcorn’s central graduate academic unit.
Ravola is thankful for the opportunity to take on a new challenge in her career.
“I feel blessed, thankful and humbled by this promotion,” said Ravola. “I am cognizant of the fact that it entails change and brings along new and greater responsibilities. I believe that a promotion is a milestone, not a finish line.”
Ravola plans on bringing experience that will continue to make her a valuable asset to the Division of Academic Affairs.
“I intend to outline priorities, set goals, understand expectations and establish objectives. I plan to establish new relationships which are critical to the success of Alcorn’s academic programs.”
Dr. Donzell Lee, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, is thrilled to have Ravola as part of the Academic Affairs leadership team.
“I am confident that Dr. Ravola’s appointment to the Academic Affairs leadership team will advance Alcorn’s academic agenda and position the University for greater academic excellence,” said Lee.
