Alcorn’s Vicksburg Expansion Center to host Active Shooter Workshop

Alcorn State University students, faculty, staff and alumni will have an opportunity to learn tips on defending themselves and others against random shooters.

Alcorn’s Vicksburg Expansion Center will host an Active Shooter Workshop Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. John T. Elfer, director of Warren County Emergency Management, will give tips on how to respond when an active shooter is in your vicinity, how to respond when law enforcement arrives on the scene, and recognizing signs of potential violence in the workplace. The workshop is free and open to the public.
