Agribusiness Student Attends Super Chicken Road Show, Meets Sanderson Farms COO

Thirty-six students from Alcorn State University attended the annual Sanderson’s Farm Super Chicken Road Show held March 23-24, 2016 in Laurel, Mississippi.

According to their website, the Super Chicken Road Show showcases the company sharing the Sanderson Farms story to recruit students for the Sanderson Farms Internship and Beginning Trainee Programs. It allows students to spend an evening with Sanderson Farms’ representatives who share their knowledge with the students and their career path at Sanderson Farms. The Road Show is a great way for the students to talk with individuals who are working in the poultry industry. The Road Show allows the students to hear about the opportunities that Sanderson Farms affords through the Summer Internship Program and Beginning Trainee positions.

The students were accompanied to the Road Show by Dr. Cassandra Vaughn, assistant professor of animal science and university veterinarian. Students from other colleges and universities throughout the state were, also, in attendance.
