“We are excited to host the Model Farm Field Day at Alcorn State University,” said Dr. Emran Ali, Alcorn State horticulture specialist. “This event provides a valuable opportunity for the limited resources farmers, students, and community members to engage with cutting-edge sustainable crop production practices. Our goal is to empower participants with the knowledge and tools they need to enhance agricultural productivity while preserving our natural resources.”
From crop production to financial management, this event will cover a wide range of topics. Get ready for hands-on demonstrations, insights into poultry and livestock production, and the latest in drone technology.
It is sponsored by the Alcorn State University Extension Program, Alcorn State University College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, Farm Service Agency, Mississippi State University Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
