Alcorn Extension Program set to acknowledge a month of food celebrations
In honor of July being designated as National Grilling Month, National Picnic Month and National Hamburger Month, Alcorn State University’s Extension Program plans to prep others on grilling safety.
The Extension Program will host a “Picnic Style” Lunch and Learn program Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Jefferson County Multi-Purpose Building, located on 307 South Main St. in Fayette, Mississippi.
Topics will include, “Grilling Food Safely,” “Cook, Clean, Separate, and Chill,” “Picnic Food Safety,” and “Basic Food Safety.”
The event is free and open to the public. To pre-register by Wednesday, July 26, contact the Jefferson County Extension Office at (601) 786-3131. Space and qualities are limited to first-come, first-served. Lunch will be provided.
