"New" Graduate Master of Liberal Arts Degree Program
Starting Fall 2017, Alcorn State University will introduce a new graduate degree program, the Master of Liberal Arts (MLA), in which students can choose to major in one of the following Concentrations: Criminal Justice, English/Literature, History, Mass Communications, or Music. The outcomes for this program are designed to give graduate students an interdisciplinary program in general coursework from a number of disciplines such as behavioral sciences, humanities, and social sciences. The Degree consists of core classes, 21 hours of a specific concentration area from the various disciplines within the School of Arts and Sciences, and a capstone project (3 hours).
Admission Requirements: Application, two letters of recommendation, Official Transcript from all schools attended, and GRE General Test Scores no older than five years. Each department may require additional admission requirements. The outcomes for this program are designed to give students
