Alcorn’s Lorman campus to close at 2 p.m for electrical repairs

In anticipation of important electrical repairs by Southwest EPA, Alcorn’s Lorman campus will close at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, May 16. Electric power will be out for the remainder of the day. The Vicksburg and Natchez campuses will remain open. The Lorman campus will reopen for normal business hours Friday, May 17 at 8 a.m.  

Essential staff will work to ensure safety and customer service during the power outage. Students should check Canvas dashboards and emails for instructor updates. Staff should contact supervisors for any questions. For urgent and emergency assistance, please call Campus Police at 601.877.3000.
