Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.’s Alpha Zeta Chapter celebrates 75 years of being first charted fraternity on Alcorn’s campus
The Alpha Zeta Chapter, along with its alumni members, announced their commitment to donate $75,000 to the Alcorn State University Foundation earmark for the Alpha Zeta Chapter Development Fund for inspiring the next generation of leaders in celebration of their 75th anniversary and Alcorn’s 150th Year Celebration.
On Thursday, May 6, the Alpha Zeta Chapter hosted their Charter Day Celebration that included special messages from Alcorn State University President, Felecia M. Nave; Phi Beta Sigma’s International President Micheal E. Cristal, International 1st Vice President Chris Rey; Recording Artist G.P. Jackson, and President, Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. McKenzie Smith.
The fraternity was established May 7, 1946, as the first fraternity chartered on the beautiful campus of Alcorn State University.
