Alcorn Men’s Basketball student-athlete Nick Woodard has been selected to participate in the Fifth Annual HBCU All-Star Game taking place Sunday, April 5, at 2 p.m. EST. The game will be housed at Corteva Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in conjunction with the NCAA Men’s Final Four weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Representing top HBCU programs across the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), and independent teams, plus Tennessee State, Hampton, and North Carolina A&T, the selected players exemplify the excellence, tradition, culture, and growing prominence of Black college basketball. The annual showcase gathers the nation’s top HBCU seniors to compete in front of professional scouts, executives, and fans, while honoring the legacy and influence of HBCU athletics.

“The HBCU All-Star Game Experience continues to show the world HBCUs Matter, while shining a global spotlight on the incredible talent, discipline, and legacy of Black college basketball,” said Travis L. Williams, Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of HBCU All-Stars LLC and the HBCU All-Star Game Experience. “These very deserving, hardworking, and talented 24 student-athletes represent the very best of HBCU basketball, and the event provides access and exposure for them to be seen, celebrated, and evaluated as they pursue professional opportunities.”

Nick Woodard, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound senior from Oglethorpe, Georgia, arrived to Alcorn prior to the start of the 2025-26 campaign from Stony Brook.
