An Alcornite is achieving success as one of the top insurance leaders in his industry.

Insurance Business Magazine recently selected Brian Johnson ’05 as one of the Top Insurance Advisors in America. The award recognizes the top-performing insurance professionals from around the country. The award marks the fourth time that Johnson has received the honor.

Insurance Business Magazine is the leading independent business magazine and website for commercial agents and advice professionals. Insurance Business Magazine provides daily breaking news, cutting-edge opinions, and in-depth analysis affecting the insurance industry.

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alcorn and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in business/managerial economics from Jackson State. He serves as executive vice president for FBBINSURANCE in Jackson, Mississippi. FBBINSURANCE is a nationally recognized industry leader and one of the largest bank-owned insurance agencies in the United States.

The honor is one that Johnson shares with his staff members. He applauded their support and work ethic and credited them for his success.

“It’s a good feeling,” said Johnson. “This recognition feels special, especially when I think of the long hours and late nights of hard work. I am so thankful to work with a talented team that supports me. Without them, this honor would not be possible.”

Staying focused on his goals has always been a priority for Johnson. He encourages others to remain faithful and work hard to achieve excellence in their fields.

“This honor means that through Christ, all things are possible. It means that your background doesn’t matter if you have a mindset and the determination to achieve in your respective field. You can succeed greatly with supportive family, friends, and mentors.”

Johnson’s goal is to remain at the top of his field while uplifting others in his community.

“My goal is to continue being a person who is well known and respected both professionally and personally. I also plan to continue supporting my community and positively impacting the quality of life for others. I believe that wherever you live or work, you should try to enhance that place and other people.”
