First Year Experience Program holds Academic Recovery Workshop 

The Office of First Year Experience hosted an Academic Recovery Workshop March 21, 2012, in the Math and Science Auditorium.

Mrs. Carolyn Smith, academic advisor in the Newtie J. Boyd Academic Student Support Center was the presenter for the workshop.

“The workshop was designed to help students to address a problem and determine the cause of the problem. The most appropriate action is the determined by the cause”, stated Dr. White, director of the First Year Experience Program.

Dr. White also shared, “The students were given the opportunity to learn what they must do to ensure academic success this semester”.

Dr. Patricia White serves as the director of the First Year Experience Program. Roderick Martin, Addie Davis, and Carolyn Smith are academic advisors in Newtie J. Boyd Academic Student Support.
