Alcorn’s Kasey Duncan, a senior majoring in health and physical education, recently published an article on diversity that talks about her positive experience at Alcorn State University, in HBCUAthletes.com, the new digital media platform covering the sports programs at the 105 Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) which spans over several athletic conferences.
A native of Princeton, Indiana, came to Alcorn in 2009, and from the beginning proved to be an excellent scholar and talented softball player. She has been on the Dean’s or President’s list every semester while at Alcorn and now serves as a softball team captain. Duncan is planning to graduate in 2013 and work as in high school as a teacher. In the future, she would like to obtain a master’s degree and coach college softball.
