Alcorn’s Twumasi and research collaborators publish four papers
Recently, Dr. Yaw Twumasi of the Department of Agriculture’s Research Unit at Alcorn State University, collaborated with researchers from Alabama A&M University, Iowa State University, Jackson State University and Oakwood University to publish four papers in the peer reviewed journals. These papers are: “Visualization of rangeland resources from space: A case of Sahel Region, West Africa”. International Journal of Geomatics and Geosciences, (2012), volume 3, No 1, pp. 259-268.; “Using GIS to assess the contribution of farming activities towards climate change in the State of Mississippi”. British Journal of Environment and Climate Change, (2012), volume 2, No.2, pp. 113-136.; “The use of geospatial information systems in the analysis of pollution trends in Southern Mississippi Region”. American Journal of Science and Engineering, (2012), volume.1, no.4, pp. 14-29.; and “Using GIS and climate risks information to analyze the vulnerability of coastal counties in Louisiana and Mississippi”. Resources and Environment, (2012), volume 2 no.1, pp. 1-16.
