First Year Experience Program holds Time Management Workshop
The Office of First Year Experience recently hosted a Time Management Workshop in the Math and Science Auditorium. Mr. Harold Spencer, academic advisor in the Academic Student Support Center was the presenter for the workshop.
“The workshop was designed to provide students with effective time management strategies,” stated Dr. Patricia White, director of the First Year Experience Program. “Time management is not a way to make you work harder and longer, but a means to help you work smarter to accomplish your work more easily and rapidly”.
“We were exposed to a lot of valuable information that helped us to focus on improving our time management skills”, shared O’ndrea Wilson, a freshman from Greenwood, Mississippi.
Parrish Stubbs, a freshman from Detroit, Michigan stated “The workshop was very informative. I learned that what I accomplish during a 24-hour period depends on my own motivation, energy, skills, abilities, and other resources”.
