Alcorn wins two awards at annual CPRAM conference
Alcorn State University received two awards at the 2014 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) conference May 19-20 in Tupelo, Mississippi.
"We Are Alcorn" was awarded first place in the Multimedia Presentation category. The video shows why current students are proud to have chosen Alcorn and why alumni remain forever connected to their alma mater.
The University Magazine Alcorn received third place in the Special Publications category. The Fall 2013 piece highlights the bold decisions and vision that continue to position Alcorn as a great university.
This is the fourth year that Alcorn has entered and placed at the conference.
“Alcorn's students are beyond impressive. They exhibit strong academic and leadership abilities,” says Vice President for Media and University Relations Clara Ross Stamps. “It was a pleasure to produce "We Are Alcorn" with them and our great marketing and communications team. We thank you all no matter your contribution. These awards are possible because of strong, on-going collaborative relationships throughout the Alcorn family.”
CPRAM promotes excellence in public relations at public and private four- and two-year educational institutions in the state. Mississippi’s four-year institutions compete in the senior division and community colleges in another division. Awards are presented in over 20 categories.
