Mississippi Senate Agriculture Committee Members Visit Alcorn

“This visit has been an eye-opening experience. We were elated to see what Alcorn is doing to benefit our state and especially small farmers,” said Mississippi Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Billy Hudson as he and other members of the Committee visited Alcorn State University on August 21 and 22, 2014.

The tour hosted by the School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences (AREAS) showcased Alcorn State’s academic, service, research and extension programs in southwestern Mississippi. The senators also interacted with Alcorn President Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr., Interim Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Donzell Lee, students, faculty and staffduring the campus tour.
