Alcorn State University’s Dovi Alipoe wins Diversity Award
One of Alcorn State University’s own was awarded for his hard work and emphasis on diversity.
The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) selected Alcorn’s director of Global Programs Dr. Dovi Alipoe as the Diversity Award winner in the IHL Board Room in Jackson, Miss. Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Alipoe humbly credited his victory to those who work closely to him on a regular basis.
“It is gratifying to be recognized with this award,” said Alipoe. “The work that goes on in the Office of Global Programs would not be possible without the efforts of the staff, the support of the School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences, the Alcorn administration and the faculty and staff.”
Alipoe’s believes his award speaks volumes to how far the Office of Global Programs can go in the future.
“The award means that we are on the right path, in terms of activities spearheaded by our office.”
