Alcorn professor of English has short story published in POMPA

Dr. Peter Malik, professor of English in the Alcorn State University Department of English and Foreign Languages, had his short story entitled “Life Saver” published in the 2014 issue of the journal entitled Publications of the Mississippi Philological Association (POMPA).

The issue was published last month on the Mississippi Philological Association’s website located at https://www.msphilassoc.org/journal-and-other-links.html.

Dr. Malik has been an active member of the Mississippi Philological Association (MPA) for many years. He read his short story entitled “Grandpa’s Brain” at the annual conference of the MPA held in January at Mississippi State University. The conference is designed for professors, graduate students, writers, poets, and those interested in language and literature.

Dr. Malik has been a member of the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Alcorn since 1998. He teaches composition, technical writing, creative writing and linguistics courses at the university.
