Alcorn State alumna fulfills dream of launching travel agency
For Vicksburg native and Alcorn State University alumna Naomi (Harris) Hughes, it's never too late to follow one's dreams.
After a 30-year career as a school teacher, Hughes is now a budding entrepreneur. She and her daughter Casandra have launched the Dream Vacations Travel Agency. The launch of the business comes as the result of a lifelong love of travel, as well as a boundless energy that Hughes can't seem to shake, even in retirement.
Hughes says that part of the reason she launched the agency with her daughter was to help people realize how affordable traveling the world can be.
"Anyone can travel," Hughes says. "It's never too late to start exploring this wonderful planet we call Earth, and it's never too late to follow your vocation. For me, that's helping others discover the joy and wonder of travel. It truly is a dream come true."
Over the years, she discovered a strong passion for planning trips and taking everyone along. Not only did she see it as quality bonding time for her family, but she discovered the wonderful opportunity of exposing her children to new cultures and places.
Hughes holds multiple certifications in the tourism and travel industries. All clients visiting kaysaytravel.com are guaranteed unsurpassed personal attention from the mother and daughter team, as well as an unforgettable travel experience.
