Mississippi Small Farm and Agribusiness Center to host Local Foods System Workshop
The Alcorn State University Mississippi Small Farm and Agribusiness Center and the Mississippi State University Southern Rural Development Center will co-host a Local Foods System Workshop Wednesday, Oct. 12. The event, sponsored by the School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences, will be held on the Lorman campus from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Ray Johnson Assembly Center, Extension & Research Complex.
“This event will be useful to a multitude of local and regional food system stakeholders including producers, food-related businesses, entrepreneurial service providers and technical assistance providers,” said Elizabeth B. Myles, School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences marketing specialist and workshop coordinator.
