Keturah Antongiorgi preps to prepare others for success at upcoming Vision Board Party

Achieving success is a goal that most individuals set to accomplish as their new year’s resolution. The common saying leading up to January 1 is “New year, new you.” The desire to change for the better is what inspired Alcorn State University alumna Keturah Antongiorgi to start her annual Vision Board Party, which motivates women to not only work together, but to also strive for prosperity.

“I am a strong believer in the adage, ‘Be the change you want to see,’” said Antongiorgi. “Last year, I had the notion to host a vision board party at my home with a few friends. This idea turned into an event with over 30 women in attendance. That alone inspired me to continue to host this type of event to empower women to reach their full potential by cultivating strong networks, sharing life experiences, brainstorming short- and long-term goals, and celebrating in a display of vision boards.”

Antongiorgi’s second annual Vision Board Party will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center in Killeen, Texas. The theme of the workshop is “A Brunch of Faith.” Participants will present a vision board that includes every goal they plan to reach in 2017.

“A vision board is a visual expression of one’s intentions and purposes that she has set out to meet for the new year. The importance of writing things down is important when it comes to accomplishing your goals.”

The workshop is an exercise of the participants’ faith. Antongiorgi believes that writing down specific goals and praying over them is the key to being blessed.

“When putting together their vision boards, I want women to not only put goals they’re looking to accomplish this year, but goals that only God can bless them with; something that is considered a mountain in their life, and having the faith to move. Looking and praying over their board everyday allows their faith to grow stronger.”
