Alcorn scheduled to participate in the Posters in the Rotunda event
Students from Alcorn State University are eager to display their researching prowess at the upcoming Posters in the Rotunda event.
Posters in the Rotunda 2017 will be held Thursday, March 23 at the State Capitol in Jackson. The competition is a showcase of undergraduate research and scholarly activity being conducted at the eight universities in the state. The event provides opportunities for legislators to visit with students from their districts, allow students to network with each other as they learn about work on other campuses and bring recognition to the cutting edge research being done by undergraduates that benefits the residents of Mississippi.
Ariel Walker, who participated in the inaugural event last year, is excited about her return to the state capitol. She’s looking forward to learning from her peers through their research.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the other research that will be conducted by students from other schools,” said Ariel. “I can’t wait to meet with state legislatures and show them my research.”
Cherish Burrell, who will be participating in the event for the first time, plans to make the University proud with her project.
“It is an honor to represent Alcorn at this event,” said Cherish. “I look forward to representing the university well by presenting quality research.”
