It’s Ag High School Day!

The students, faculty and staff of the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences are busy planning

the 2nd annual Ag High School Day. The event will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Casnacita S. Gray, student services coordinator.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Extension and Research Complex. Demonstrations and other activities will be held in the Jesse A. Morris, Sr./W.C. Boykin Agricultural Science Building.

“This open house event is designed to help students recognize and consider careers in agriculture and applied sciences. Also, it’s to help inspire students to focus and make the connection between academics and career preparation as well as highlight the many opportunities afforded to them.” said Gray.

High schools from across the state as well as various parishes within Louisiana have been invited to attend.
