‘Picnic-Style’ Lunch and Learn, July 28

In recognition of three July food celebrations, the Alcorn State University Extension Program is hosting a free ‘picnic-style’ event to observe National Grilling Month, National Picnic Month and National Hamburger Month.

The Lunch and Learn event will be held July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Jefferson County Multi-Purpose Building, 307 South Main St., Fayette, Mississippi.

The event, free and open to the public, will offer food safety tips. If interested, contact the Jefferson County Extension Office at (601) 786-3131. Registration ends today, July 17^th and space and qualities are limited. First-come, first-served. Lunch will be provided.

Topics will include, “Grilling Food Safely,” “Cook, Clean, Separate, and Chill,” “Picnic Food Safety,” and “Basic Food Safety.”
