Alcorn’s Student Government Association cabinet sworn in at inauguration
The Student Government Association (SGA) cabinet at Alcorn State University officially assumed their positions during their inauguration.
The student leaders were sworn in in the Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Facility Gold Room Wednesday, Oct. 11. Patrick Herbert Jr., SGA president, was proud to reach a milestone that he sat his sights on when he became a student.
“It feels great to be inaugurated as SGA President,” said Herbert. “It is truly a blessing to achieve one of my major goals here at Alcorn.”
Working with a likeminded administration and dedicated student body have been two of the highlights of Herbert’s short tenure. He looks forward to doing more great things to uplift the university.
“My tenure has been nothing short of amazing so far. I am truly blessed to work with a hard working administration as well as students who are participating in all of our events and initiatives. I appreciate gaining support from the administration and students on my ideas.”
Herbert also enjoys getting out and networking with others. He appreciates their trust in his leadership.
“I really enjoy getting to meet and network with so many of our prestigious and intellectual alumni. They have given me the chance to make a difference for my beloved university.”
