Maxine Greenleaf, interim vice president of marketing and communication at Alcorn State University, has been elected to the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Counselors to Higher Education Executive Committee (CHE) for a two-year term.
She is an award-winning public relations professional who has led communications and marketing teams at all of Mississippi’s four-year public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Previously, she served as the associate vice president of marketing and communication at Alcorn and executive director of University Communications at Jackson State University after spending four years as the director of communications and marketing at her alma mater, Mississippi Valley State.
Greenleaf is a member of the board of directors for Leadership Greater Jackson and a member at large for the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the American Marketing Association. She graduated from the Leadership Mississippi and Leadership Greenwood programs.

The PRSA CHE Section is a community of senior-level communications leaders and aspiring leaders who serve higher education institutions.
