Alcorn State University will celebrate its 2025 Homecoming with a week of Mardi Gras-themed events, culminating in the football game on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium.

The campus will be alive with activities for students, alumni, and fans throughout the week of Oct. 6-11, 2025. The main event on Saturday begins with the annual parade at 9 a.m., followed by the Alcorn State Braves taking on Lincoln University at 2 p.m. in the stadium.

“We are excited to welcome our students, alumni, and fans back to campus for an unforgettable homecoming week,” said Kelunda Robinson-Thomas, assistant director of student engagement. “Our Mardi Gras theme, ‘Laissez les bons temps rouler,’ is a call for everyone to embrace the spirit of celebration and join us in honoring Alcorn’s rich traditions and heritage. We look forward to seeing the purple, green, and gold spirit on full display throughout the week and on game day.”

Key events earlier in the week include the National Pan-Hellenic Council Step Show on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the E.E. Simmons Gymnasium and the coronation of Mister and Miss Alcorn State University on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Davey L. Whitney HPER Complex.
